A 23-year-old woman had given birth via C-section at an Indian hospital – She was recovering in an intensive care unit when a man raped her – She screamed but no medical staff came to her aid. A new mother was reportedly raped just hours after giving birth to her first baby in a private hospital in Bahaduragarh new Delhi, India.
According to local media, the 23-year-old woman was recovering in an intensive care unit after giving birth via C-section, when the terrifying incident occurred. The attack was caught on the security cameras and has CCTV footage as an evidence.
The footage shows the alleged abuser getting out of his car in the early hours of the morning, entering the hospital under the pretext he is a doctor and roaming around it until breaking into the woman’s cubicle.
The unnamed victim was sleeping when the man get into her hospital bed and sexually assaulted her. The woman was screaming during the attack but no medical personnel responded to her bawls or stopped the rapist from escaping.
A relative of the victim said: “She is my nephew’s wife and she gave birth to a girl yesterday and was admitted to the hospital. I was with her till late 9:45 pm and then left because the hospital staff said no one was allowed to stay the night in the ICU. There was nobody in the ICU when the man entered. All the patients were sleeping. My daughter-in-law screamed but nobody came, neither any nurse nor any doctor.”
